Vaishno Devi: it occupies a crucial place among the many pilgrimages of India. It is a place that attracts maximum tourism. It is known for its reverence and is located at a height of 5000ft in the Trikuta hills of the Shivalik Ranges. A temple dedicated to the Goddess is the major attraction that lies 13km from the city. It infuses a sense of spirituality amongst one and all.
Tirupati Balaji: one of the most holy places in the south of India, Tirupati Balaji, is known in every corner of the world. The deity is located on a hill at tirumala, which is a cluster of 7 hills. Lord Venkateshwara temple is the most known place in Tirupati Balaji. People line up in long serpentine queues to get a chance to offer prayers to the deity.
Golden Temple: it is one of the must visit lands for people who have come to tour India. The temple is a perfect example of picture perfect architecture, clearly a work of genius. This Sacred site for Sikhs exhibits a large dome made out of gold. The four doorways are a symbol of religious tolerance that is being taught by Sikhs depicting the welcome of all four major religions with open arms.
Rishikesh: resting in a gorgeous architectural style in the foothills of Himalayas, Rishikesh is an important pilgrim destination in the north of India. Along with the spirituality and religiousness, it is also a hub for numerous adventure sports. And hence becomes an important point in the check list of people visiting north India.
Shirdi: the holy temple of Sai Baba needs no introduction. The lure of the town will surely be irresistible to any tourist visiting it. This sacred land is located near nashik in Maharashtra. The most prominent sites to be seen here are the Sai Baba temple and his memorial.
India is culturally mixed land comprising of various religions. Every religion is respected with the same passion and respect. It is for this very reason that India is a secular land in the true sense of it. There are many religious places and many devotees who visit these places keeping the serenity up.
