Ladkah is the perfect place for an adventurous tour as you will get ample places right for trekking purpose. There are many interested places that are worth visiting in and around Ladakh. Some of the famous places are Leh, monasteries of shey, Hemis, alchi, thikse and Lamayuru.
For trekking, the area is divided into three zones- Kargil, the Indus valley and Zanskar.
Kargil - Kargil is located just behind the Zoji La Pass. It is a small town with paved streets surrounded by apricot groves.
Indus Valley - Indus valley is situated at the height of 3500m. The place is located between the Zanskar Range and Ladakh range. The key attractions of the Indus valley are Buddhist monasteries, quaint villages, fairs-festivals and bazaars.
Zanskar Valley - Zanskar Valley is one of the remote areas of Ladakh. The valley is 300m long and rang by mountains. The Zanskar valley is located in the inner Himalaya and higher than the rest of Ladakh area. You will enjoy Nun0Kun and its Monasteries, and awe-aspiring landscape here.
Shyok Valley - Shyok river contains water of two rivers the Nubra and Changchenmo rivers. The Shyok valley is the valley of Shyok river that is known as “The river of death”. The river freezes in winter but in summer as the snow melts.
Padum Valley - Padam is the most populous area of Zanskar. Padum is a major trekking base and a popular tourist place. There are few beautiful places around the Padum valley, offers entertaining walks.
Zangla Valley - Zangla Valleyis located in the northern part of Zanskar. Zangla is part of popular Padum-Strongdey-Zangla-Karsha-Padum tour that covers the cultural places of Zanskar.
Apart from these famous valley and tourist places, there are many other valleys, which are famous for their exotic appearance such as Rangdum Valley, Phugthal Valley, Stongdey Valley, Sankoo Valley, Drass Valley, and Suru Valley.
