Taj Mahal- Every year, tourists come in a large number to visit this symbol of love. Taj Mahalw as built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in the remembrance of his wife Mumtaz Mahal that died while giving delivery to their 14th child. Taj Mahal is situated near the bank of Yamuna river and showcase an absolute combination of Mughal, Persian Central Asian and Islamic architectural style.
The main attractions of Taj Mahal are the four tall minarets, the black & white chess board marble floor and the grandiose dome.
Agra Fort - Agra fort was built by the famous Mughal emperor Akbar in 1565 AD. The construction of this majestic fort took eight years at a cost of 3.5 million. The incomparable architecture style and features reflect from the fort. You will visit Diwan-e-Aam, Diwan-e-Khas, Moti Masjid, the NAgina Masjid and the Palace of Mirrors.
Tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daulah - The tomb was constructed by the wife of the Mughal emperor Jahangir, Noor Jahan in the memories of his father. You will witness a blend of Indo-Persian architecture style from this white marble tomb. Tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daulah is the first marble tomb of the Mughal Period and eminent for stunning inlay designs and carving.
Jama Masjid - Jama Masjid was built in 1648 by Jahan Ara Begam, daughter of Shah Jahan. The mosque is popular for its unique shaped dome with no minarets.
Mausoleum of Akbar - The building is located at Sikandra which is around 10 kms far from Agra. The mausoleum was designed by Akbar. The beautiful Mausoleum of Akbar represents absolute blending of Hindu, Christian, Islamic, Budhist and Jain architecture.
Fatehpur Skiri - Fatehpur Skiri is located in the town of Fatehpur sikri and Approximate 37 km far from Agra city. The fort was built by Akbar during 1571 and 1585. You will visit excellent Into-Mughal architecture here. The key attractions of Fatehpur sikri are the BUland Darwaja which is the largest gateway of the world and the tomb of popular Sufi saint Shaikh Salim Chisti.
Fair and festivals
Grand Taj Mahotsav is organized during 18 to 27 February every year. There are many colorful cultural programs such as Folk dances and music programs are organized to showcase the culture and tradition of India.
